Excerpt The authors publish a sample of 47 ancient coins, two Byzantine and nine medieval one, kept in a private collection from Babadag (Tulcea County). The ancient coins are Greek and Roman issues and early Byzantine issues, found in Dobrudja at: Argamum - Jurilovca comm., Tulcea County (1 sp.), Constantza (1 sp.), Babadag (24 sp.), Babadag-Topraichioi (1 sp.), Zebil, Zebil comm., Tulcea county (1 sp.), Sucidava, Izvoarele comm., Constantza county (10 sp.) and in an unknown place from Northern Dobroudja (1 sp.).
The Byzantine coins are two anonymous folles from the class A 2, found at Babadag and Enisala, Sarichioi comm., Tulcea County.
The nine medieval coins were struck by the Despotat of Saqchy (1 sp.), the Golden Horde (2 sp.), Bulgaria - The Turnovo Tsardom (1 sp.), Poland (1 sp.), Ottoman Empire (3 sp.) and Spain (1 sp.).
All the coins were found at Isaccea.
