Excerpt	Without doubt the Second World War was a tremendous tragedy for hundreds of millions humans and it destroyed so many lives that it is, even now, impossible to count. In the middle of that massive destruction, few people had the possibility and tried to continue their scientific works and projects. The short correspondence between two numismatists (1940-1941), Friedrich Stefan and Vladimir Clain-Stefanelli, proved the common interest for numismatics and the importance to change ideas and books even in wartime.
